I have a 7.3 that runs like crap when it starts for 5 or 10 min. After that it run good for the rest of the day. Don't have a check engine light on. It's got a new fuel filter but the draine valve is leaking, don't think that's the porblem. Anyone have this problem before. I'm going check to see if i can get some code.
Thanks

Welcome to FTE jojoe. Does your truck only do this in cold weather? Or.. Does it do this all of the time? Does it smoke? Please include all the details that you can and these guys and gals will take care of you.
P0503 Vehicle Speed Sensor Noisy

P1211 ICP Not Controllable - Pressure Abow/Below Desired
P1212 ICP Voltage Not at Expected Level
I would try to disconnect your icp sensor and start it. If it clears up the sensor is bad. Make sure it is repeatable. Sometime the connector/wiring is faulty.
I'd agree with tdpower. Unplug the ICP sensor and see if that makes a difference. Of course this assumes your engine oil is full, the proper grade, and not too far it's proper change interval.
The ICP sensor is located on the front, inboard side of the drivers head. It's a round sensor with an electrical connector on the end of it.
Disconnect ICP sensor started up and runs worse, check engine comes on. Oil is full, rotella 15w 40, Truck has 158,000 mi never had any problems till this.
The check engine light came on because you unplugged it. No need to worry about that.
The truck shouldn't run worse with the ICP unplugged. If you start it with the ICP unplugged, does it run a little better about 30 seconds after the ICP is plugged back in with the engine running?
F350-6 The truck is warm now, it gives me problems when cold. Should I disconnect it when cold? Can't tell right now, did it and does't sound 100% plugged or unplugged. little ruff

The first 2 codes you listed will not affect the way the engine runs. The other 2 codes are ICP (Injection Control Pressure) related that can affect the way the engine runs. The ICP measures your HPO (high pressure oil) in the oil rail in the head (which fires the injectors). Unplugging the ICP sensor is a simple test, and we like to check the simple things first.
How long have you had the truck, and how often is the oil changed? Does it only act up when it's cold? If so, you'll want to unplug the ICP sensor when it's cold.
The other possibility is a sticking IPR (injection pressure regulator) The IPR is another part of the HPO oil system. The way to check this is with a scanner capable of monitoring live data. You'll need to monitor ICP psi & IPR duty cycle % to see if you can find a problem.
Another possibility is one or more sticking injectors that don't work well with cold engine oil. That issue is more common in trucks that have had extended oil change intervals.
