You also have to swap out the turbo, which means you'll need to change the pedistal and up-pipes, as well as a few other mods. The reason is not only the height difference between the two turbos, but also the 99.5+ turbo has a larger compressor outlet. So the size difference on the outlets prevent them from being bolted up.

I see. Is there an easier soultion to over-come the restriction on the small intake side? I see that Banks offers a twin air ram, but you have to buy the whole intercooling system to get it to fit. Has anyone used just the Banks intercooler pipes and twin ram air with the stock 7.3 intercooler?
