Expedition attitude adjustment

My finace has a 02 Expedition with a 5.4 in it. She has about 100,000 miles on her but she still runs like a champ. I have two mustang (a 02 GT and a 69 coupe) wich my fiance has been helping me restore and soupe up and now I want to make her Expedition just as mean. It is stock for now but we plan on adding a grill guard and tail light guards. She wants big tires and a little more alitude. My question is how big of a tire can I fit on the truck with no lift? She wants some nicer rims (has the factory 17inch upgrade wheels), and some more agressive tires (don't know if we want to go with mud terains or all terains). Also is there a cheap way to get a little lift out of her? I had a Rodeo with 8 inches of lift and 33s so I know 4x4s pretty well. I know on that truck you could add some add-a-leaves, longer shackles, and crank the t-bars and could get about 2 inches of lift out of it. I have not really crawld under the truck too much so I am not sure if it has t-bars or coil springs. I am a mechanic so can do all the work myself. I know these are newbie questions that have probably been answered 100 times before but any help you all can offer would be greatly appricated!!! What are some other good mods to do to these trucks? I am pretty familure with Ford products but am learning the Expedition as I go. We are on a little bit of a budget, but still want to have a pretty mean little truck.

Thanks in advance!
Rob
