I've got an 01 Expy EB with the lights on top of the running boards. The newer Explorers and Expys have approach lights under the mirrors that shine towards the ground to help you approach the vehicle. Has anyone thought about installing these under the running boards for extra light toward the ground on older models that do not have the approach lights?
Also thinking about installed one or both of the short ones under the hood for extra light.
While were at it I wanted to do some red for the interior all around the feet maybee around the roof to inside if I can tuck them away nice enough then the whites off the running boards that would be nice... or idk of any other colors for inside that won't be cheesy
I want the inside dark when driving at night.....other than the dash and radio. I did however see one time in a Toyota forum where someone took a single LED and put it in the bottom of each cup holder. Looked pretty sweet at night and it helped you locate the holder while driving at night.
Just remember in alot of states it's illegal to drive with these underbody lights. Some stays it's illegal to even have them mounted. Review the state laws you'll be visiting with the truck, specially if you have yearly inspections.
Niice lol so I can go to va and drive with my doors open and lights on lol I think I will def add the led's to my truck cool effects aside the bright lights make it easy to see. In a parkeing lot when u can't find your car lol
