I've seen the car around and at a couple of shows, but haven't been to the drags here in Manhattan. I've wanted to go as a spectator, but always seem to forget or have something else come up. I've lived here for 16 years, so I guess that isn't a good excuse.
Do you run up here? If so, post up sometime when you are running and I'll grab a couple of other folks(FTE'ers) and come on out and watch.
It's a long story but that was one of My old cars. It came back to Goddard last year like 7 miles from Me. I stopped and had a look at it sure don't want it back life has been hard on it.
I know it is supposed to be common knowledge, but I am a little slow and stupid sometimes and have to save my brain cells, but I can never remember which week the get-togethers are supposed to be. What week are we talking about again? As a suggestions, when the thread starts for ideas as to where each month, can you include the date? Thanks for helping the mentally impaired.
There is no set date on these, seems like first we decide where to have it, then we decide when, it usually works, but maybe we should do it the other way around for "slow people" LOL!!!
How ya been, I thought you dropped off the face of the earth.
We did used to have two GTG each month. One in Wichita and one in the KC area. Wichita was the first Saturday of the month and I think the KC one was the 2nd or 3rd Saturday. Tony might have a working rememberer on this. Then attendance went down and we went to one GTG a month and tried to move it around to get folks out.
there is a place in williamsburg (something like that) called Guy and Maes. OMG its awseome. south of kc i can look up address and stuff but i garrantee you will never look at bbq the same.

Thanks Curtis. I guess I was remembering back when they had a set weekend. I will try to keep up from now on.
I have been around. I login in and read quite a bit, but seems like when I run through what I would reply in my head, it never seems to add much to the conversation so I usually just skip it.
I might try and make this months g2g, less dependant on the where of it than the when of it.
Curtis and I had kicked around the idea of having a mini g2g here in the Manhattan area to get aquainted with some newer members in this area etc. Maybe we could do that in conjunction with wheeling next weekend. If we decide on something we will post date and time.
I am still waiting for a date (well, not a date as a night out with a person of the opposite sex, I already have one of those, but a date as in a particular day on the calendar).
