I seem ta git a vision of a BII with AC fer the summer an a sploder thet didn't want ta play n the cold. Seems ta me thet noone received a major award an thet some new folks ur bit by a wheelin' bug. Haveta wait til folks git back ta see ifin' my visions are truesome ur not don't ya know.
Cold Cold Cold!!!! Pretty fluffy snow... didn't win any thing.... fuel pressure regulator took a poop... so had to ride every where... :-) But it was very nice to see every one again, make some new friends, and see some old ones. We need to set a KSRocks trip up fpr us :-) it is a great place to wheel. (Plus clint and Garret won free cabins night stay :-))
Note to self... mexican food, 5 guys and a long truck ride - not a great idea.....
The kid and I had a blast!!! Free bee made it up some trails I would have never thought it would. Had to get winched out once, had to turn around on the trail for a "jeep roadblock" and got stuck up against a tree and caved the passenger door in. But the guys from the wichita 4x4 club happen to be there and had it tugged out in no time. Then on another trail I got hung up on a rock, tried to back down the trail a little to get a run at it and another tree tagged the spare tire carrier and pushed it in a little. Eventually Travis was able to pull me up the rock and out.
All in all it was an AWESOME weekend with some really good friends.
Had a great time at my first Frostbite event. Thanks to Tony for taking on a couple passengers when Elvis sprung a leak. Couldn't ask for a nicer guy to wheel with. Also opened my eyes to the capabilities of a well-built BII. Impressive!
Gotta give a big thanks to Duane as well for letting me truck-pool with him and the rest of the party of six/five that he hauled to/from the event. But if I may make a suggestion, next time let's make sure we detour around the First State Bank of Gas. My sinuses have never been clearer. And I don't mean that in a good way!
