Well... long story short, I had to pull injector pump yesterday. Now I have it back on and I need to get her started. I ran out of starting fluid, and cant get to the part store. Now what can I use?
I don't recommend ether at all if your trying to start with it, now I did use it for a few weeks as a starting aid (very very very tiny squirt on cold mornings)
Now, back to your question, WD40 down the intake will bust her off. It takes a good 2-3 seconds burst to get it to work, but be careful because it doesn't take much liquid in the cyclendar to hydrolock your motor, thus requiring you to take out the gps to let out the liquid.
You hydrolock your motor and you stand a very good chance of bending a rod.
I tried wd40 once used to use on chebbys it did nithing on my 6.9.
you can try a gas rag.
Well, Champion technically doesn't exist anymore it was a town that disappeared many moons ago, the only thing left is a Church and a cemetary , I just use the name cuz I like it, I technically live in Roscoe, which is close by Sweetwater, which is 50 miles west of Abilene.
Not trying to HI-jack but could you theoretically push start an auto if you had enough speed? I know its hard on an auto because it won't be properally lubing, but could you get up to 20 mph then shift from N to 1st and have turn the motor over?
Well she wont start, so now here is the long story.
I had a small fuel leak and I noticed it was at a point on the back of the ip. It looked like a harmless bolt. Dad said to pull it and put Teflon tape on it to seal it up. I pulled it off and it was a long dowel with threads at the end and a nut on the threads. I put the tape on it and put it back in. When I went to start my truck, the throttle was stuck. I tried to force it loose, bad mistake. I heard a pop, and my throttle was loose, but my truck wouldn't start. I realized that bolt was not tight so I pulled it off and tried to put it back on but it wouldn't go.
I pulled the pump off and my dad took the top of the pump off and there was a piece broke.

Well my dad replaced the broken piece and we put the bolt in. I put the pump back on and went to fire it up. It started and ran for about 10 seconds, then it just quite. I was gonna rev it and keep it going but dad said no...
Now it will not start. I have bled the lines, and the injectors are getting fuel. I have tried glow plugs, and no start. I tried either and no start. The question I have is the bolt I pulled out a timing screw? Does it need to be adjusted?
Need alot of help guys, I need to have this running in 5 days or less.
Thanks yall,
Kyle

Reason: spelling
Well never mind on the long story. We figured out what was wrong. Now I am not gonna let my parents work on or around, heck I may not even let them drive it, because my mom just broke a bolt off on the IP. So... how do you get a bolt out that only has about 1/16th of an inch sticking up?
