I have noticed lately that when I have my headlights on, sometimes the dash and radio lights will flicker, and it seems to be getting worse lately.
Also, a few nights ago I was at home with the headlights on, and noticed that when the dash lights flickered, so did the headlights.
Could this be caused by a headlight switch that's going bad? I don't really know why it does it. They'll flicker when I'm sitting still, and bumps don't seem to affect it.
Just food for thought have you ever changed your lights to the relay system These take a major part of the load off the switch making them last a lot longer.
What he said. Ghunt I run 100 watt high and 55 watt low beams offroad lights in mine.
The stock headlight switch will not take this and I suspect the dimmer switch would get hot too.
If you have the OEM alternator mine did the flicker too... mine was the brushes were almost done. Check your charge voltage..... 14.3 running with lights on.
The harness is ridiculously easy to install. I got it around 3:00 today. There are 2 plugs that go in the bulbs, 2 grounds, 1 plug to go in one of the old head light plugs (the other is left to do nothing, it just hangs there), 2 plugs that go into supplied relays, and 2 connectors that hook up directly to the (+) batt term. and everything is labled.
I have pics I'll put up later if you cant understand what I'm trying to say.
