I have an 86 F350 that I am planning on switching from C6 to T-19. I have the clutch and brake pedals and alot of the other parts, but I was wondering if the pedal support bracket is the same for standard and automatic. I also have a pedal support bracket for a 87-91 truck, can this bracket be used in the 86 cab? The later bracket is steel not aluminum and appears to be a longer lasting part. Anybody have some experience in this area? Thanks.

According to Bill (NumberDummy) in this post: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...76&postcount=6
There is one part for '87-'89, and '90 on up changed again, so I would have to assume the older style ('80-'86) has an even different pedal support.
I very much *doubt* it would fit, it won't retrofit to my '87 for sure.
The newer bracket will bolt to your firewall, but not to your dash. The brackets are contoured differently for the dash designs. I tried it with a bracket from a 1990 in my 1985. You cant just add a clutch pedal to your auto bracket either. The bar they pivot on is a different diameter between them. Just grab a complete bracket/pedal assembly from a similar year of truck, it will make things much easier.
