I went to replace my front left turn signal assembly tonight. I can't see where to get to the mounting screws. Is it necessary to remove the bumper to get to these?
I am not real sure yet, but I believe it's just two screws down low. It's a tight section, but I remember being able to unscrew it without removing the bumper. Then the upper was clipped in.
From what I can see, I will have to remove the bumper. I think the manual missed a step, there is probably only a quarter inch of space between the bumper and the lens.
If you have enough room to access the screws between the turn signal lens and the bumper you don't have to touch the bumper.
Otherwise, just loosen the bumper to lower it down (no need to remove it) and give yourself more room.
Remove the two screws, grab the edge by the fender and pull it out (two metal pins hold it once you remove the screws so you need to give it a good tug).
