i guess your putting em on a stock 150 with stock wheels, i had a 92 150 that i first got michelins for and they sucked in the snow, then i got bfg AT 32/11.5 15's and have gotten em ever since, i now drive a 97 f-250 and just purchased a 2001 f250 xlt on Monday, i would say the person who told u they suck in the snow probably live in california and never sees the snow, u cant go wrong with these tires
u said that your thinking of fender flairs instead of a lift kit, the tires will fit without either, if the front is a little low u might think of getting a leveling kit, i didnt have to raise my f150 to fit em, they fit fine, i also live in ny, in orange county. well anyway good luck, hope to hear how it turns out

if your worrying about hitting the fender well u might want to think about a stiffer front coil and new leafs out back. i never had problems with clearance, but didnt do crazy off road either. orange county is touches nj, about an hour north of nyc.
about the tires i would say go for it, they will fit, and if u do have clearance problems (u wont) then maybe think about susspension or flairs. nothing ventured nothing gained
