That is what I would do. Take it apart clean both pistons real good then lube them put the boots back on and test them before putting it back on the truck. You might be able to get by with just spaying the pistons down real good with WD40 and get it moving that way.
Replacement of the caliper may be a better choice. If you perform the lube repair on the piston you run the risk of destroying another set of pads if it doesn't work. For me brakes on trucks this size are no place to try to "get by" cheaply. Good luck.
