I too would like to know what Ford intended all the little pockets on the 40/20/40 seat armrest to be used as. I hang my cell phone charger on the dash hook.

Mental note since I just got my truck and so far have barely figured out the radio... Look and see if there is a panty hook on the dash.

ETA: Finally looked yesterday (29th), I have the hook. Not having any spare panties, I hung a trash bag on it.

99-00's had a pull-out ashtray there. The hook thingy was cheaper to manufacture and install. I scored an ashtray out of a 99 and fitted it with a 120 Volt receptacle and a USB power point fed from an under-dash converter. Pull it out, plug it in!

No pictures, sorry. I hope to do a write-up on the project but right now I am buried in a house flip which has to be done first!

It's been a few years. Did you make a post on the set up?

Figured it was for a trash bag or something and thought it was useless.
so I turned it into a speaker for my VHF radio I mounted in place of the pull out cup holder. Already have cup holders in the center console. Didnt need any more.
