After the jump start, I have lost my F60-65 Code-Alarm system. No door locks, dash indicator LED and no remote start. Checked the in-line fuse at the battery post , and the 102 position breaker (swapping it with 101 the aux brake module)and they seem/are to be fine. Is there a third place for me to look next?
This has me stumped, I am confidant you guys can help as you have in the past for me! Thanks in advance!
Try doing what Pat suggested. There might be a fuse in the alarm itself. I remember reading somewhere that if you're getting a jump, you should turn your heater on high so that the extra juice has somewhere to go when you let off the starter.
turn the heater on and the lights on is what dodge training passed on to me when i was going to school it absorbs any voltage changes and keeps spikes from shorting electronics
Pat,Strickracing and Twags6, Thanks. I tested for voltage both sides of the fuse at the battery. We are good to go there. I am un-sure of which red lead coming thru the fire wall was the right lead, but of the two I didn't get power. Unless someone has first hand knowledge of the Code-Alarm and if it carries a re-set or a trip-able breaker I think I'll take her in to the shop Monday.
Thanks again Guys, Pat I am right down the road from you at 15 and Jefferson
You working Tuesday? We can get together and look at it. I would say Monday, but have a funeral to go to.. Even tomorrow if you want to spend a little time on her?
