part # F7UZ-4841-AA states it is for my year 1998 f150 but doesnt state 2 or 4 wheel drive, I just had my extension housing/bushing/seal replaced, and theres still a vibration. I searched the forum and am concluding the yoke is worn..
if the vibration is related to the drive shaft area, i would suspect the shaft is slight bent or out of balance before i would suspect the yoke--- assuming the universal joints are not wornout.
I'm having a vibration problem also. I also have been wondering if it is the transmission. Last summer I had a auburn 4.10 put in. Everything was fine as before untill I had my ujoints changed. The vibration was bad from 85kph to 105kph. I took the truck back and they replaced the ujoints with different ones. The vibration wasn't as bad but still there between 95kph and 105kph. I had the drive shaft balanced and the rear flange yoke replaced. Still not much difference. Some days the vibration is worse than others. When I let off on the gas it usually gets worse. I also have some play in the transmission shaft, but only up and down. Another time I check there wasn't any play. Maybe I need ford ujoints???
