super chips tuner?
Got a question about a super chips 1705 max micro tuner. I recently sold a 99 f-250 7.3 that I had originally bought the tuner for. I then bought another 99 f-250 7.3. When I was reading the instructions I read where the tuner might be VIN LOCKED. Does that mean I won't be able to use it in my new truck??

I had the SC programmer in mine and when it says its vin-locked, its locked into that vehicle. The most you'll be able to do with that programmer is read codes with your other truck. I never hooked mine up to another 7.3 but i believe thats how it works. The company looks at it as if you could tune different trucks with the same programmer they arn't gonna make any money.
