Wouldn't it be easier to simply pressureize the cylinder with compressed air after the rocker assembly is removed?
I use that method all the time when doing stem seals. Just make an adapter that uses a fitting that goes into the glow plug hole. Piece of air hose and a hose fitting on the other end and you have it.
The air pressure will drive the piston to the bottom so be ready for the engine to rock, but that 150 psi will hold the valves shut pretty good.
Do NOT unplug the air hose until you get the keepers back in or the valves will drop out into the cylinder!!!!
