Are you replacing an existing Dana 50 with a Dana 60?
Or convertin from a 2wd to a 4wd?
Is it off a donor truck? If so Ide take EVERYTHING off the donor truck IE:Track bar, track bar bracket, srpings, spring hangers, the axle has to be the same Wheel baseas the truck as the truck its going on.
I do not have an anwser for your question but it'll bump the thread!
Honestly not to shoot the idea down but unless you really love this truck I would buy a 4x4 truck like yours. For the price it will take to convert your truck you it would be cheaper to buy a new one since it is a buyers market out there.

I hear that a lot, but 2wd's have been hit harder than anything. my 2000 f250 xlt is probably worth 8500. A comperably taken care of 4wd would fetch ~12k.
that's 3500 difference, plus paying tax title crap, plus i'd still want my lift and tires, so let's say 6k total difference.
You can buy a xfer case for 500, and an axle for 1k with everything you need. The lift gets me new springs for ~500, so for 2k i'm about set. ON A TRUCK I KNOW INSIDE AND OUT....
Man, you can do it. I have done some fun stuff with these trucks and many others on here have as well. I honestly don't see any reason why you would even need to change the steering box if you pull the tie rod end out and not that arm.
