As a former dealership employee, I can tell you that a title usually gets branded because it belongs to a vehicle that was totalled by an insurance company, or is a "salvage" vehicle.
Ford does not warranty vehicles with branded titles.
ok. thanks. that is what i thought it meant. the truck was in a fire back in 02 when it had 35k miles on it. . it sat for the past 6 years in a garage almost put back together, but was never finished. it needs minor things like mirrors, badges, interior light bulbs, radio, a fan shroud, and seat belts to be done. i paid $3500 for it.
well, that is what i see left to do. i put about 100 miles on it before the battery died and took the fuel pump with it, and it drives like a new truck.
kinda stiff, but it has the 6000lb front springs in it.
plans for it are a dually conversion, dump body, and 8 1/2 ft snow plow.

Sounds like the perfect doner vehicle for your project. Beats a rusted out, driven to death junker you could have bought for $3500
