guy is tryin to sell a 86 4 door 1ton dually welders bed 6.9 4speed.tires are not great.need fan water pump and radiator to get it driveable.but will start and run.would it be worth buyin and parting out ?never messed with a diesel so have no clue whats what.cab be worth anything to anyone here?

I think it's worth it. Water pump is about $120, just have the radiator rodded out and checked (maybe $100-150). If you have time to work on the truck and get the bugs straightened out, these trucks are awesome. Mine has at least 273000 (maybe 373000 miles on it, never been rebuilt. Has pulled everything I've hooked to it. The old truck weighs 9400 lbs full of fuel and still gets 12-15 mpg.
