I want to get the largest tires possible for my stock rims & stock height.
It looks like the 315's only come in D load range. (from what I can see)
Questions:
A. If I go D load range what tire pressure do I run front/rear
B. I will be "airing down" the tires in order to drive on the beach and need to know if I will be able to air down 315's w/o risk of coming off the stock rim. will probably air down to about 25psi maybe 30psi.
315's won't fit on stock height-been there. You will need at least an add a leaf. I went with Tuff Country. It was $99 and about 4 hours to install and it raised the front 1.75'', enough to clear the 315's. I ran 45 psi in the front and 40 in the back when empty, when I put a load in the back I ran 55-60 psi in the rear tires. I have since changed to 285's because the 315's change my ratio too much for towing.
I don't know about airing down, someone else will have to advise there.
I think 315's aired down on stock rims may be a problem they do fit stock width rims and I had them on my other truck. But they are not recommend for stock width rims.
Edit: they fit fine on my other F350 truck with no lift.
