Spittin and sputtering
I have a 1999 F-250 super duty V-10, The other night while my wife was driving it started sputtering and popping with an occasion backfire. It will idle just fine but as soon as gas is applied it will reach 1500 RPM'S then drop and die. I changed fuel filter and was told it could be catalytic converter or O2 sensors, then went to the parts store and a guy said it was fuel pump. Wondering if anyone has had this issue. Thanks

spark plug
It kind of sounds like that when it spits a spark plug, you might have one that didnt fully blow out, but one that does have a hole. My dad's did teh same thing, and there were pin holes burned beside the plug, and a a few that had come very close to puking the plug, it just didnt let go all the way, but the hole was enough for the pressure to escape.
