No transmission, motor removed but will be sold with car.
Nitrous tank removed and will not be sold with car.
Makes you wonder what they did that the US Marshals wound up with the car.
12,500 starting bid, no bidders yet.
Yeah, I said drug seized but I was just assuming that. The NC state surplus web sight was actually where I bid on the Lemans and it does say drug seized property. I get the two confused when tellin people about them. This sight just bid off a 67 mustang Elanor clone.
All of these cars look like they probably came from the same raid.
I wonder who had enough car savy to list them right. Most State SURPLUS sites I've seen they don't really know what they are selling and they are a lot newer cars.

I was thinking the same thing. This is a federal sight though. They must be a little more serious that the state auctions.
Another thing, this federal site is proxy bid just like ebay. Most state sites are closed bid so you cant see what the high bid is.
I bid $888.00 on the Lemans on the NC suplus site just for kicks and it went for over $8000.00.

We have an Oregon State auction site and things pretty much sell for market value, there aren't many deals. I hardly ever go on it anymore, I get MUCH better deals off of Craig's List.
I work for the NC Forest service and one of the biggest problems we have after a bid closes is when the bidder comes to pick up their prize. They are either REALLY diappointed or try to act like they got over on you.
A couple of years ago we had a 91+/- F250 5 speed with trans out and laid in the bed (cant remember what was wrong) It sold for a little over $2000. On the same bid sheet there was another F250 same set up and about the same year sold for $1600 and the guy drove it home.
Some reason people must think we take extra good care of these trucks but they havent met some of the jokers drivin these things.
There are some deals to be had at an auction but you have to remember you are the high bidder that means you were willing to pay mor than anybody else.
