Too much $$$, it`s time to retire that car and get back to your F100, $2300 would go a long way on it.

Yeah that is pretty expensive. The cars in way to good of shape to just let sit though.

ya but its a flathead............ its worth it

I wish i only had 2300 dollars into mine,its not even machined yet or rods and pistons and bearings purchased and I'm way over that.....

I have a good 390 here that I may or may not use some day...........
But then again it has valve covers!

but its still a 390, it would make a good back up motor. if i had to choose one with valve covers, a 390'd be it.

390 in a 53 would be awesome! Suck back a little more gas, but who cars in a truck like that!

Afew less miles to the gallon but alot more smiles per mile......
Years ago I had a 53 F100 with a 332 that was a hoot, it surprised more than afew guys as the truck looked orginal.

So have you ever thought about seriously putting a 390 in there? That would be alot nicer then a 302!

The 302/C4 is in there now but I`ll see what I have to change over for the FE. It`s use it or lose it, if it sits too long it`ll seize up or the rings end up being stuck.
