Does anyone know how to wire the pto on a 2008 f-250? I saw on other posts that the orange wire or the purple with a light green stripe should work when energized. My 08 does not have those color wires, it has a bundle with about 15 wires with a tape tag that lists as follows; bu-gn =pto engage,gn- wh= tro-n,gn=pto rpm,vt=ing 10a,ye-gn =pto, bu-wh=pto ok,bu=cto,vt-og=vs out ,bu-gy=park. I tried them all and the only one that worked is the yellow green and it only brings the rpm's up to about 960. Does anyone know what all these abbreviations are for, and is there a way to get higher rpm' s when the pto is engaged ? Thanks for your help.
If I know who makes the PTO I may be able to get the abbreviations decoded. Then I will be able to provide the information you need to solve your problem. Maybe then it will be helpful!
Sorry, I though you were being sarcastic, my mistake. I do not have a pto, I just want to hook up the high idle. Those color abbreviations are on the truck factory harness.
