Installing exhaust

Do I need to disconnect the battery before installing an aftermarket exhaust? I thought I read this somewhere. Something about the PCM flashing itself or something.

Thanks

It never hurts....but you shouldn't need to disconnect for an exhaust......

Thanks. I just remember reading it somewhere and it stuck in one of the cobwebs. They must have been doing a full exhaust.
