I am planning on doing the 05 conversion soon and will document it. I am waiting on connectors to come in. It's not a simple bolt on. The 05 aero headlights use a 9008 bulb instead of the regular 9007 Ford used, so the connector has to be changed. I am going to build a relay harness for mine, but the connectors are metripack 150, I bought the connectors, pins and plugs to do 3 lamps for $6. Once you have the parts, you need to cut up a section of the bulk head to fit the lamps. Then it just bolts in.
If you want a simpler upgrade, the 03 clear lamps bolt in pretty easy.
I guess i am talking about a conversion?? I had heard of someone saying an 05 headlamp would replace, but i didn't know if it was a simple bolt on or lots of modifications. Let me know when you post your conversion, I'd be curious to see how much work it takes.
I make things more difficult than they have to be. Like I had said I am going to make my own relay harness. The basic install is posted here in the superduty forum I think and on several other forums as well. I'll put it in the superduty forum and try to remember to look this post up too.
