I'd love to get a lower geared rear axle and springs for mine, I'd upgrade to a E200 if I had all the stuff off a truck for the front disc brake swap, mine has been daily driven.

I have to admit it--I am totally jealous of you guys with those 68-74 Ford vans. To this day, I miss piddling around with that old 72 I had, my first van. It was the cargo version and plain as can be, but I loved it. It was my fishing wagon, my junkin' wagon, the wife and I's *******' wagon, and more. I really dug the driving angle of the steering wheel, the way the front end looked, the six banger, all of it. I haven't seen that gen of Ford van in person in years!

I no longer have mine either, but wish I would have kept it. Also wish I wouldn't have made it into a 4x4. I liked it the best as a 2 wheel drive dually

Just got back from visiting mom and dad, changed the oil and antifreeze in it, come back home absolutely flying down the back road, the 302 has quite a bit of pep, hope to upgrade with a 4barrel one day.

Jack up the *** end, git ya a set of classic style Cragar rims, chrome dual exhaust along each side, paint it black with orange flames, carpet the inside, add porthole style windows up high in the back, and SHAZZZAM---instant flashback to what used to the coolest thing for miles and miles around!

I'm going to add a leaf to the rear to pick up the sag, it has air shocks now, yet I won't pump more than 60 psi, exhaust is a must currently, it leaks, I'll be running steel 15's with baby moons, nothing else.
I don't plan to cut any holes in it, that photo was taken after the stupid camper window holes were filled in, I prefer solid, my other van has enough viewing holes.

It does need some bigger/wider tires.

Here's the way I liked my old van the best. 302, Holey 500cfm 2 barrel and a 4 speed manual I swapped in.

Yes, I made it that way with wheel spacers and dually wheels.

I'd like wider tires on mine but I don't have power anything.

Do you still have it? Any chance it's for sale?

I don't think any of my gen 2 econolines have front disc brakes. They were all drum front brakes, stock. I do have a gen 2 window van parts rig that has the 8 lug running gear. The rear axle is a 4.11 ratio (am pretty sure..). The van had a 6 cyl. w/3 on the tree. (8 lug wheels). Someone took out the short block and everything else was left there waiting for it (to never return): The iron 3 spd., the cylinder head, bell housing, clutch, manifolds, all still there.

Also have a straight chrome front bumper, a good 4 core radiator with the cutout top tank for power brakes, 302 engine parts, straight aluminum grills (and some steel ones, too..), hoods, windshields etc.
I've got maybe a few restore-able bodies with titles, but they are all window vans......

I know of a '71 (location Oklahoma). It's small block V8, for sure. I only skimmed over, but looked complete. $1500 firm. Salvage yard has it. I can give you a number to call.

I saw this ad in Medford, Oregon Craigslist. Looked like they had some Gen II Econolines for parts, as well as some '70s F250s for parts.

Cool FORD 1973 ECONOLINE E300

Hello To all,

I have a 1973 Ford Econoline E300 that has been passed down to me. The vehicle has been in my family for 45 years! I have been working on it for some time now. And am ready to purchase new tires. However, I am having trouble locating the right size as well. Any comments are suggestions is very much appreciated!

Thank you very much!
