I am a newB and need some advice. I have a 2008 F250 Power Stroke 6.4 liter and I cannot figure out where the spark plugs are. I have 25K miles on it and want to change them out. Any advice?
Unless the world has flipped upside down on me, Diesel engines don't have spark plugs. The diesel/air mix is ignited by compression (as long as the heads are up to operating temp.) Diesel spark plugs are joke we used to pull on new people when a tractor wouldn't start right up.

Dave.
Sorry, I couldn't stop laughing....I hope this was meant as a Christmas joke!!
OK, so here's my newbie question - do Powerstrokes not have glow plugs?
Most smaller diesel engines including our beloved Powerstrokes have glow plugs. They do not initiate combustion like a spark plug in gasoline engines - glow plugs are only designed to warm up the block around the cylinder to ease the starting process.
Diesel combustion is done by pressure and not by spark. Larger diesel engines and some direct injection diesel engines don't require glow plugs.
Well. First you should find the johnson rod. it is inside of the canuter valve...look up about 5 inches and you will be sparkplug number one...to make sure you sparkplugs are getting lift to port closure you should removed it and chatter test the plug....make sure your engine is at top dead center #5 then pull the spark plug...hope this helps!!!!!!
