That's a great link. As many of you know I am just about to rebuild my stock 51 Front end. I figured I could do everything except this part of the king pins.
So for those who are a little more mechanically equipped, this would work great!
I called the Spring shop to see if they had the bastor shims I needed and how much it would cost to re arc my springs. They told me they would re arch, put in new pins and bushings, new clasps and center bolts for $225/pair - and throw in the shims free.
I flippently asked them if they reamed king pins too....seems they do....$75 to $100 for the entire job. I'm sure that different shops will vary.
But, if you get stuck, now you have two alternatives.
Thanks for the post Don. I like one responder in the HAMB thread bought a complete set of barely used reamers for cheap. In my case it was probably 20 years ago at a swap meet. In the original wooden box 1/2" to 1 1/4" by 32nd's all for $25! Most of the reamers had never been used.
