im still here........

hello everyone,

happy holidays with many returns. sorry i havent been on here lately. i know i missed a lot of things and happenings. been busy with doing research on family tree, my side and my girlfriends. found out a lot of interesting things. but that is another story.

as i mentioned before, my girlfriend and i are getting married next year, most likely in april/may. will keep everyone posted. almost had a minister/preacher to do the ceremony, but as of last 3 weeks he never called back. now to find a new person to do the ceremony. but will wait until after the holidays.

as of dec 6, 2008. we had moved from one side of a duplex to the other. helped my ex-neighbor move, since he bought his first house and helping him get settled. i did this since he is a good friend and he accidently shot himself in the thigh with a .357 magnum derringer. he dropped it on the floor. the bullet is still in his leg, hospital wont remove it since it wont do any more damage.

and plus since i was of great help to him he gave me a new toy, clean title and all. all i need to do is put it back together. he gave me a 1965 chevy pick up. and possibly a 396 engine with all the bells and whistles. power steering and power breaks. auto matic. he orginally built the truck for some racing. but he may want to keep the engine, so i would need another motor for it, quite possibly a 350 if i could find one cheap enough.

i stilll have my 67 250, no where near of giving it up. or unless some one wants to buy it for $5,000.00. with all the parts i have gathered for it.

so in closing best of luck to everyone, and bless our troops this coming year.

Glad you're still around Frank.

Drop by, I can square you away with a small block/tranny combo for that Chev.

In fact, I have a set of Small Block MM towers for a '66 Chevy PU, unsure if they are a direct fit on the '65, but we'll figure it out. Also have a set of headers too...

well mike,

all i need is a sbc. truck is already set up with ram horn headers (i think thats what they are called. full exhaust with flow masters with cross over pipe. the current transmission is set up for a sbc or bbc, and i also have an intermediate sprag for the transmission to handle the bbc. he also gave me all the other parts for a/c power brakes and steering. and all the pulleys for either a sbc or bbc.

thank you for the offer, ill let you know, i will still be a bit busy with my ex-neighbor since he still has his stuff in the garage. just waiting for him to get healed up better so he can sort thru his stuff.

I had a '66 C20 with a straigt six. Loved that truck. Gave it to ex-girlfriend and went to NYC. Wished I'd kept it. Then I would have 3 trucks and what guy doesn't need 3 trucks?

hey bart,

this is a 1965 c-10.fully loaded from factory at the time it was built. but it does have a few upgrades, ladder bar suspension. rear is set as a 1 ton and front is set up as a 3/4 ton. 6 lug bolt pattern with maganese rims.

and it has all the orginial trim and such from factory, no dents or dings or rust in it. been kept in a garage for the past 5-6 yrs.
