Expedition wheel help
I just bought a 2000 expy, 4x4. It has the stock 16" wheels on it. The tires need replacing so I thought maybe I'd replace the wheels as well. Is there any pros or cons to going to a bigger wheel? The stock 16" look small compared to this big vehicle. Can you guys make a recommendation? I live in Wisconsin so we do drive in the snow for 3-4 months out of the year. Not sure if this matters any or not.

18's aren't bad my dad has 20's with small tires and swap's to 17s for winter. U can prolly get a decent tire on 18's I know sears can cross reference your wheels with new size rims and what u can put to keep same characteristics... post pics with ure new wheels

After doing some research on here, it appears that a lot of people just get bigger tires with the stock 16" rims. It looks like 265-75-16 or 285-70-16 are common sizes. It sounds like everyone agrees that the 285's will fit without rubbing. Any pros or cons to going to a bigger tire with the stock wheel?
