...well first off its 7000lb truck with another 500lb or so of tools. Secondly, there is no reason to knock someone who has experienced an extremely odd scenerio and was of interest to a reason why.
MisterCMK, you probably scoff at the fact that I can get 22 with the truck also? You would probably be the one who would knock someone who said they get 23 with a 5000lb supercharged Jag VDP and that the mileage is better the faster you go. I'd be happy to take you on that ride and show you.
But just because you didn't experience it it suddenly isn't possible, doesn't make it right to knock that person. Especially if you don't list a logical answer and just say its bull****.

How do you explain a 50% improvement in fuel mileage in a truck that big? Unless you reproduce it the only way to explain it is a calculation error.
The update tells of the possible explanation regarding a possible slight kink in the filler neck that caused the pump to kick off to quickly. Followed by the top off fill up at my local station when I got back and the difference calculated in which gave a more believeable 22mpg.
