suspension lift
I have already installed 3inch body lift, had to replace the steer shaft with an Borgeson shaft(this is something everyone should keep in mind if you lift the body, it only took 3 month to destroy the factory shaft in mine!!! and make it dangerous to drive.) Let me know what you all think ?
I ended up going with ProComp since it was identical to the others yet a little cheaper. The Rancho and Superlift kits are also really nice, but are a little more pricey. As for ROugh Country, I have yet to hear anything good about them, so I might be a bit leary taking that route.
As for the rear springs, you're best bet would be to call National Spring and have a set custom made. There's 2 reasons for this: First, most rear springs you'll find from lift companys won't work on a 2wd as they have 2.5" wide springs and the 4wd's have 3" wide ones. Second, by having them custom made you can have them made for the type of use your truck will see. For off-roading (and never hauling or towing heavy loads) you'll want a leaf pack with a greater number of leaves that are thinner. This will give you a softer, easier flexing spring.
