With a 2000, I believe you have the best year of all the 7.3's.
Of course, I'm a bit jaded, too!
Welcome to our little corner of cyberspace. We've become a bit like family here, each as helpful to each other as we can be. We are all in this learning process together, and as a whole, we've put in a lot of hours working on these rigs. Some with minor mistakes, some with tremendous success.
All-in-all, we have better, more reliable trucks than Joe Average on the street because of what we've learned here. And we're still learning. Hope we can learn something from you, and that you will from us, too.
Welcome aboard, I hope you become a regular because we need more CAT expertise on this forum! A year ago I traded my almost 10 year old trusty F350 in on a Freightliner with a C7, which you can read about here if you get board...
Where in MO are you located? I was born and raised in St Louis, but that was many years ago. I've got a retired friend in Springfield and another in Lake Ozark, so I make trips through MO regularly.
thanks again, i have been real lucky so far with my truck, the thing just keeps running with no problems. bought it new, put on 4 inch lift, 35 tires, guages, cut out the muffler and hypertech programmer. most of my driving is pulling a trailor so its been worked but just keeps on working. yea if any one has a question about cat engines, i can answer it or get the answer, we are a teps dealer so i have access to all kinds of neat things
Ok, you can answer your first question. What is a "teps dealer"? Haven't heard of that one before. My son has a C12 in his Kenworth so may be asking for advice from time to time.
Edit: Well, looking back, that was your second question.
Seems like you are on the right track but we will have to get that hypertech traded out for some real performance like DP-Tuner ( DP-Tuner) or a tony wildman chip (www.totaldieselperformance.com )
