Just got my truck back with it's new suspension & wheels...wow!
1997 Ford f250 w/ 7.3 turbo diesel
6" skyjacker suspension lift
16x10 mickey thompson classic II wheels
37x12.5 superswamper SSR tires
I will try and get some pictures up soon.
Okay here's the one issue, at full turn, the front tires hit the springs. Wheel spacers?
Yeah lets see some pics!!!! I am looking at a 6" skyjacker kit for my 96 f-250. Which one did you buy? Class 1 or class 2? Springs or blocks in the rear? How much did it cost ya? Let me know.
Skyjacker 6" , on 1997 f250 heavy duty (diesel) new springs in front with blocks in rear. The truck handles really nice with this set up. If you are looking to pick up new wheel and tires check out tirepackage.com , they will mount and balance the tires before shipping, most other internet sites will not provide this and it will cost you more for shipping. The superswamper ssr 37x12.5 tires also handle really good on the road in rain and snow. I am still getting 16-17 mpg with the diesel engine.
Sorry forgot to mention cost. Shop around first...especially for the tires and wheels. Take the time and research to get the tires to meet your needs. Check offset of wheels also. With the f250 longbead, I have no driveline issues.
Tires and wheels (tirepackage.com ...online) ...$2050
6" skyjacker suspension lift ... $1450 ...local shop. Could probably do better online shopping, but this is a local shop.
installation cost ..$500
Sweet! did you get the class 1 or 2 kit? like does it have 2 drop down brackets for the front ttb or the single heavier one? how tall are the blocks in the back? Show us a picture when you get one. I have the extended cab longbed also but mine has the 351 5.8.
