i got some from one of the advertisers but cant remember { i buy to many things sometimes and never what i really need !!} who . anyway they are kinda pricey , but mid fiftiy has these really nice adjustable cab mounts i'm thinking real hard about , and will probably buy . their part no.0712 . bolt up in oe place but like i said fully adjustable to even the cab up , and dain heavy duty looking . bout 200 a set though .
It will probably be hard to find rebuildables. I replaced mine with some cast iron heavy duty arms from MidFifties. They were used on larger F-series trucks. Fits the same but has a lot bigger rubber bushing. $18.00 ea.
Does anyone have any xtra Rebuildable Cab to Frame arms for a '53-'56. They may be the same part for earlier years too. Mine are beyond rebuild.
Hey Merten,
I will be having several extra sets but it may be a little while as I have to get them removed. Mine are all from '53 F-100s. As for condition, I can't say yet. As for rebuilding, I do have welding, fab and machine shop capabilities here. I assume the wallowed out hole and lack of rubber for the bushing is the main problem. For my own purposed I could probably make something quicker and cheaper than rebuilding one.
As I do not intend to use these type mounts I will be glad to let you have whatever I take out for free.
I don't know anyone who sells the rubber biscuits separately, that wedge between the arms and the mounts. The malleable iron ones sold widely are superior.
I wonder what your brackets look like, if the arms are so bad???
Hey Guys thank you for the input. I will keep looking for a rebuildable set or get the cast set from Mid Fifty.
Dave thanks for the offer, I am going to try to get the cab bolted back onto the frame soon. Ross, the rubber bushings and the metal inserts come with the complete cab to frame bushing set, they will only work with the stock style arms. I figured it was worth a shot to ask.
