Here are the actual core measurements

Heater Core - without A/C 7-1/8" x 6" Part number: C5TZ-18476-A

Ford HEATER AND A/C - 57-79 Truck, 61-67 Econoline list - CG Ford Parts Core

No they do not sell the seal, I looked already. Hope this helps?

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...t-with-ac.html

Thread #10 has some pics of weather stripping added in place of a gasket. Keep in mind it is a heater core for a an a/c equipped truck and I believe its a bigger heater core length, but same width?

In case you are working with a HO heater core Heater Core - without A/C 9-1/4" x 6-1/4" Part number: C6OZ-18476-B

And here is a super informative link, if you have a/c...http://www.ncspecialties.com/autobody/heater/index.htm and for general Ford truck mod info...http://www.ncspecialties.com/autobody/tech/index.htm

Hey 77&79F250 - not bad for a newbie. Hahahah.

Here's some of my newbie assistance to join ya'll...my stock heater core (standard output) dimensions are 6"x6"x2".
Overall is 6"x7"x2". What you're looking for is the 2" wide stuff by 6" long, top and bottom.

There's some type of insulation along both sides, 1/16"- 1/8" thick x 6" long.

Nice assist and with pics, thanks.

Since I am a "newb" how do you attach pics dirct to a thread? I have some directions from fellow FTE'ers, but I am computer challanged (read not so computer smart). lol

Since I am a paying suppoerter of the site, I use their way, but alwasy nice to know another way to suggest to fellow non paying members.

Or did you use the FTE way also?

Ha hahahaha....I think I got lucky with my newbiness with the pictures. From what I recall (I'm only working with 0.5 a brain cell here, so it took me a long time), this FTE'er with the handle 77&79F250 layed out some good directions for posting pictures......hahahahaha.........

And I am a paying supporter....used the 'managed attachment' dealie and the 'paper clip' thingie. Seemed to work. Used photobucket a while ago but I can't remember my log in monikers, or where they are - if I wrote them down.

Also tried that postimage.org for a bit....even when i was a paying supporter....had trouble with that...actually had trouble with them all until I looked at how big my files were and what these sites require. Set my camera up for different amount of pixels and things worked better....so, I went with the 'manage attachment', etc deal.

I'm not computer savvy at all...chalk it up to my being part of the "grumpicus oldicus farticus" generation.

Well imagin that, I post alternate pic attachment directions and it works, but I can not figure out. As far as big pics ck this out.....

Don'tyou hate it when a mega-sized image gets posted and you end up having to scrollside to side to see the complete posts on that page? Automatic image resizingsoftware has been added to the site! You can access this feature through yourUserCP > Edit Options> Thread Display Options> The Image Resizer. If you leave the fields blank, all images larger than 400px in width or600px in height will be resized down to approximately 400px in width or 600pxin height. If you enter a 0 into bothfields, then the feature is disabled and you won't see any resizing. You can also set a custom size if you want to. Just be sure to scroll down and click "Save Changes" if you do anything other than leave the fields blank.

Shoot, sorry, man.....I thought you were being facetious when you asked me about other ways to post pictures. There's a boatload of info on it in if one searches..(google, etc). That's where I found some, as well as in the user cp, or FAQ. I have about three word document pages that I 'cut & pasted' for reference.....tough sometimes being an old fart newbie.

And, yes....it's a pain to scroll left, right, up or down to see those humongous pictures....I lose track of what I'm looking for/at. Haha.

And thanks for the information on the resizing stuff. That's copied and pasted, too.......How do you find out all this stuff? Is there a newsletter that goes out about any new stuff to members with seniority?

Do you think we hi-jacked this thread enough?

That's funny, cause I have 13+ word doc pages myself of random FTE info, part #'s, how to all the tricks like bleeding p/s ect.., D60 stuff, wiring, location of common needed parts.

And a folder of nothing but PDF pics from numberdummy and mikeo0o0o0. And a few pages of lift kit stuff, SD springs swaps, truck building advice.

I spend alot of time working abroad and have been working a long long way from the house since 15 Nov and pretty much get on daily after work for hours on end and pretty much all weekend.

So lots of reading and replying and copy and pasting. Whats a high jack? I think the guy got his answers.

Yeupp...I believe you're right.

Well, I'm hip on collecting information ... I've got a bunch of different folders, bookmarks, etc too, from this site and going back some years before I found this site. Not to mention the books. Ha ha!

Yeah, I know you've been over playing with our Eastern friends for some time now, so I'm sure this site keeps trouble at a distance for you.

Trouble lurks right outside the hotel entrance...lol

Trouble like Russian vodka bars='s bad decisions, like hot wiring a RP hover craft and taking it up and down the frozen Volga river at 3 am....you know they race vehicles at night out on it too. Crazy studded tire UAZ.

Have to watch out for the ice fisherman's auger, and the man himself, lol

Yes I stay in my room and on here as much as possible.

How different is the vodka there compared to in the U.S?

I hear ya on decisions/choices..Hahaha....like getting in your truck and telling your partners, "Hey!....Watch this!"...............As long as you had fun, didn't hurt anyone and didn't get busted, what's wrong with that?

On a serious note - Is Obama's hypocritical horse hockey directed at Vladimir and the Ukraine going to adversely affect you?

It is way cheaper and WAY stronger and they mix crazy stuff like horseradish with it....WTH!!
I was drinking that with our turp in a Lithuanian restaurant when Russia and the US was playing hockey. That was a hoot!

It was a blast though cause his buddies spoke 50% english, we spoke 9.256% russian and by the end of the night we were all in an Irish pub drinking Guinness and singing Irish songs in both languages. lol

And that led to....the introduction to car hood sledding....AKA redneck luge and other Volga river reindeer games. These folks know how to party like no others, with a little money you can get away with about anything your imagination can come up with.

As far as whats in the news....the power's to be say "lay low, avoid political discussions and be ready to move out". I plan to go east away from Moscow to either Mongolia or China, if I have to bug out. No I a not kidding.
