Installed the new camber adjuster sleeves, and all is well. I guess the others were just wore out. It makes sense to me, now that I see the installation with the new ones. Took pictures; will try to post. Out!

OK, ya'll have inspired me, and im trying to do my ball joints and wheel bearings.

ONLY PROBLEM

I cant get that damn spindle off.

I have banged on it with a rubber mallet, hammer with a block, and even went after the inside of the dust cover with some chisels....

Haynes says dont use heat.... but I am out of options.
I slipped when hitting a chisel with a big hammer, and hit the threads on the spindle.

So now, I HAVE to take it off, no turning back now.... cause im gonna have to take it in and get the threads fixed. dammit.

any suggestions on how to get this thing off?????

been working on it 6 hours now....

The problem it is tight in that bore and hitting it on one side or the other just ***** it or makes it even tighter in that bore. The correct tool is a slide hammer. There is an attachment that screws on the end of the spindle and then screws on the end of the slide hammer. Then you just pull it straight out. Really makes it easy. Check and see if your auto parts store rents or loans it out free as you bought parts. Then check at rental stores and see if they rent them. Once you do it this way you will be adding this tool to your birthday or Christmas list if you wait that long and don't go out and buy it.

Looks like Sears has the tool: KD Tools 4WD Spindle Puller - Model KDS3910 at Sears.com Then if you have or can borrow or rent a slide hammer you are in business.

Take your time

I used a couple of chissles like you mentioned tapping all around it and keeping them on the oppsite sides, one to tap the other to keep the space I had already gained, trying not to **** it, and working it off slowly. Both sides were a PITArm, since I hit my elbow with the handle of the hammer I was using, ouch.

After I got them off I coated them good and I mean ozzing good with anti-sieze before reassembly.

Ohh I tossed the crappy rusty dust shield too.

Good luck.

Back in the olden days I used two putty knifes. They were not the expensive ones but the blade and tang were one peice. They were sharp enough and thin enough. I think I got one started and then used the other to work around clockwise and counter clockwise from the first one that was stuck. Then two small screw drivers or small chisels. After the screw drivers or chisels get a start angle them to the side so they act like a seperated pickle fork.

Man I wish you were closer. I could of had them both off in less time than it took me to type any of these reply's.
