Yeah that truck with the cummins has been for sale for awhile. Probably cost the guy alot to put it in there, but he will never get that cash back out of it.
Honestly, that particular truck isnt for me, for a few reasons.
Im not a crew cab fan, it does have 287k on it for mileage, so who knows what(if anything) would be the next in line to go (im thinking front end stuff might be due for a change).
With the cummins being a 24v too, its my understanding that they are a little trickier to install, so if the installation wasnt done right, then theres all sorts of problems!
That conversion isn't all that hard to do and they now make aftermarket addaptors for the tranny, motor mounts, wiring harness and etc. I have seen a few and a guy on the 99-03 diesel forums did the swap.
Yeah Ive seen a few guys that have done them too, and talk regularily in the O/T forum to jeremy and he had put a cummins in his truck.
I think he said he is running 450hp, getting around 17 mpg!!!
I guess this conversion might not be bad as I may think it may be haha. A few questions would put an end to my worries about it, if he answered right!
