Well a Wyotech Rep came to my house today. We discussed the classes I want to take and it came to this: Automotive Core class for 6 months and Light Duty Diesel for 3 for a total of 9. Afterwards I'm gonna add a Heavy Duty Diesel course with Business Management on top of that. My classes start September 28, 2009 . Just wanted yall to know that I'm finally gettin in. All I need to do now is graduate high school. Now I can finally begin my career and hopefully by the time I'm 30 I can start my own diesel shop. Thank you all for your recommendations on where to go for college.
any ideas on what i should do in my shop when i start it? i was thinkin just a diesel pick up shop but thought maybe big rigs would bring more business

The problem with specializing is that unless there are enough customers in that niche in your local area you will spend lots of time sweeping the floors. When you own a shop you will find it hard to turn down any work opportunity.
You will never be set up for anything. Especially when starting out. But you can work it out if your handy. You will start small and work your way up (or out). And when you think you have every thing you need a new car or truck will require new technology.
