Just to let everyone know I went and got one from Performance Unlimited. It is straighter than stock and uses rod ends in the 3/4" variety. All needed spacers and bolts as well as detailed instructions came with it. I put it on my '79 F-150 4x4 SWB, lifted 3" with 35" tires, last weekend and the difference is almost to much to believe! The first corner I came to at speed, I just about put 'er in the weeds! I mean, when I turned the wheel, the truck turned at the same time! Guess I was used to havin' to turn in just a split second or so before the truck actually would turn. This is compared to NEW poly bushings in there! I only had them in for 400 miles or so. Don't even think I would need the steering stabilizer on the street now! One thing that had to be modified was the frame mount, had to enlarge the stock 5/8" holes to 3/4", no going back with this bracket. Also had to grind a little off the corner to clear the joint. Other than this, this install was very straight forward, about the same as replacing the bushings if they don't fight you gettin' them out. It is adjustable as it should be with rod ends, so lining up the front and rear track is very easy and according to PU, can handle up to 8" more of lift, nice if I want to go to a full 4" lift. Thought this may be of interest to those with lifted trucks, Broncs or with the dreaded front end wobbles/bumpsteer. The other noticable benefit is the steering "sharpness", no were near the amount of correction needed on the very, very poor roads we have around here, I drive fire breaks/trails that are much smoother than the paved roads! It will take a while to get used to not having to correct for every dip or bump and also for the road to my house-got to un-train myself from the old turn in habits! The least I can say is that I should have done this a long, long time ago, most likely could have all but paid for it in time/bushing costs and marginal steering charateristics over the years! Looks very trick also!
