General Grabber AT II's

Anyone have any feedback on these? I just picked up a barely used set (less than 3,000 miles) on a set of pacer rims with lugs, and center caps. Mounted and balanced of course. Size 315 70 r 16's $1,000. Rims and caps need a bit of polishing but look good.

I don't have any personal feedback on these, but they ranked pretty well on tirerack survey.

I likewise purchased a set of the General Graber AT 2’s from the TireRack. I bought six LT265/75R16 load range E tires and with shipping to my house ran a little over $900 if I recall correctly. I had to have them mounted at a large truck shop because of my dual wheels.

They are great tires. I have had them on all sorts of roads at up to +80 mph and they performed quite well with no noticeable noise when the windows are down. I have had them in modest mud and dirt without any issues but have not experienced ice yet – though I think they will do just fine.

I did not find your size on any sites so I have no idea of how much more expensive your (33’s) would be over my (31’s) but safe to say they should be under $200 a tire. If the wheels you got with them are nice and likely run over a $100 each wheel, then Jason I would say you got a pretty good deal. -blake

Blake, the 315's are supposedly equivalent to a 35 inch tire. They are a good bit bigger than my 305's which are supposedly 33's. They look nice and actually still have the "****" on the tires, the guy said they had less than 3k and I think he was truthful. The wheels are the Pacer rims that I have seen a lot of people running. I priced a set of the rims on eBay for $550 alone, and I'm sure the caps and lugs are extra. I called a local tire chain here that has very good deals and they quoted me $220 a tire in that size, so I think I got a pretty good deal. I am glad to hear the good feedback on them.

When I get them on and I get a minute I'll post pictures of them. Thanks for the input guys.

They ride nice with very minimal road noise, beefy treads on them. Can't wait to see them on your truck.

Jason, not quite true. The following is the sizes of the P-Metric tires when calculated out:

315/70R16 = 33.4"x12.4"
305/70R16 = 32.8"x12.0"
265/75R16 = 31.6"x10.4"

I've got about 13,000 on my set of 315/75R16's, pretty happy with them. Quiet and seem to do well in all conditions (rain, snow, ice, mud). Have manage to poke holes in two of them. Had one patched, the other was in the sidewall so no go runnin a Kumho on the spare rim, apparently there is a nationwide backorder on that size in the AT2....just my luck. Nice score on the rims and tires though, they should look good on your rig.
