Should say filter cleaning or something to that affect I believe. Depends when your truck was built and if it has been in for the updated flash whether it will tell you that or not though. When finished it will say filter cleaning complete. It also says this whenever you put the truck into park or neutral I'd think since the new flash does not allow the regen process when the truck is not being driven. If you do not have the latest flash the trucks sound a fair bit different when in regen and if you put it in park when in regen and let off the brake the truck will rev up to about 1100 RPM.
We would need to know your job # (build date) and have you had it in for the reflash at all. If it has not been in the you would show a brief "Cleaning exhaust filter" message. Then the only way to know if it is still in progress is to hit your setup button, then reset and get the message center to go thru the messages, last one will tell you.
If you do not go thru the messages, once it is complete the "Cleaning exhaust filer complete" message would just briefly appear.
There is a new TSB for a reflash that is suppose to change the message to stay on till complete because most of us would like to know when it is in progress.
