This is true. The OEM torque converter has many flaws, the lockup piston is only one of them. Raising the line pressure may not cause instant failure, but its not going to help much either.
I Installed that transcommand from banks. After a while of pulling stuff on and off for over 1/2 year with it, it got to where my TCC wouldn't stay enguaged. Very noticable on the last trip. And When it would enguage, it felt that it was slipping occasionally. It Also feels like its slipping with it locked even with the truck unloaded. I don't know if the electronic command had anything to do with it or not. I believe my entire setup is stock tranny wise. Tranny still shifts solid in all speeds 1-OD.
