My Father in Law was a hard core chevy guy, He had only had one Ford a 89 Bronco 2 that he put 396,000 miles on. all the rest has been Chevys, His wife fell in love with a Navigator, and they traded in their Tahoe on it. While it was in the shop getting some warrenty work done, they gave him a 08 XLT crew to drive. Friday he he called me and asked me to go truck shoping with him and we pick out a 2006 XLT Crew 4X4. The sales man, who I also bought mine from gave me a $100 for bringing him in. I guess it goes to show the F150 sells itself.
A guy I work with has a fairly dressed up 2500 4x4 Silverado and that is a very sweet truck. My neighbor is a diehard Chevy head, I can't even picture him in a Ford. Oh well, his loss
I was also a diehard chevy guy till i got my 04 f150. I have several chevys, cars and trucks, and i just love the entire ford truck. I have had my minor problems, thank god for extended warranties, but my last silverado was horrible, just my 2 cents. And also my father in law who has worked for chevy garages for the last i cant tell you how many years and now owns a Napa store told me his next truck is deffinately going to be a f150, he drives a ranger now. i think as much as people complain about Ford backing up their product, its not nearly as bad as chevy, goto some of the chevy boards and look into it.
I like all trucks; Ford, Dodge, Toyota, Nissan, Chevy… (and yes in that order). I’ve compared chevy trucks to my Fords, and there was NO comparison. I’ve always said though, if you’re a die-hard chevy person, then by all means BUY A CHEVY, same goes for Dodge, because you’ve definitely got different tastes than me.
