hello, i just orderd a custom sub box that goes under the rear seat of my 05 supercab. anyway, its got a 10" kicker comp cvt 2ohm sub, and a kicker zx200.2 amp
well the specs on the amp say that bridged at 4ohms it puts out 200w to 1 channel.
since im running a 2ohm sub, does anyone know what watts it will put out bridged?
it has the low impedence protection by the way, and all these numbers are rms.........and my sub is 50-400w rms
Unless it states 2ohm bridged, it may not run long/well as 2ohm bridged.

P=e*e/r. So 200=e*e/4 or e*e=800. 28.3v. so p= 800/2 so it should produce 400 watts or there about.
I can't find any info that says that the amp is safe to run in a 2 ohm mono situation. Everything I find lists the 4 ohm stereo or 4 ohm mono ratings which would lead me to believe this amp is not made to run in the configeration you need it to. It might work for a while, not sure what the power rating would be other then 2 ohm mono = smoke
thanks for the responses......i thought the cvt sub only came in a 2ohm speaker, but i was wrong. you can get the 2 or 4ohm version, i emailed the guy i ordered it from, and im getting the 4ohm version. so ill be at 200watts.
i plan on eventually pulling this amp, and running my 4 door speakers off of it. 70wx4 @ 4ohms, and my door speakers are 2-60w rms and 4 ohm. then i want to get a good mono amp just to run the sub. since its 400w rms max, id like to get an amp that runs the full 400 watts at rms.
any suggestions on a good mono amp for this sub? thanks!
