rear end leaking?

ok so i have a 94 f150 shortbed I6

im not sure which rearend i have bt its leaking, there is a tube that is coming off the top of it that seems to be causing the leaking

it looks to be a vent tube or something, is there a replacement or something i can do to stop this leaking?

Assuming that you have the stock 8.8 axle....
If what you are referring to comes off the top of the axle halfway between the diff and the wheel on the drivers side then it would be a vent linefor your axle. Or at least there should be a line there. The hose is to extend the vent for water conditions. I can't remember how far up the hoses go from there though.
I have never seen a leak at that point, but I'm sure someone else will have some more help on the subject. I suppose the hose could be replaced if that is the problem. I am wondering though if it should leak there.

Either, you recently had the rear axel lube overfilled and its venting at hiway speeds or, you are hauling or towing heavy loads, which produce heat and sometimes will cause venting.

ok i went down and took a look at it since my dad was going nuts about it

it is not the rear end it is a valve more towards the drivers side that has the brakeline coming in and out and a vent tube coming out the top and a fourth tuve coming more towards the back

if it was easier to put a picture on i would im going to try and put one in my gallery

That's the brake line junction block. It is retained by the breather tube fitting.
Which one is leaking?

there is one tube on the top piece that goes up near the frame, that one is fine

so are the brake fittings

its the one that is pointed more towards the rear of the truck

it is defintely not brake fluid, it is rear end fluid

Can you post that pic?
There should be a brake hose coming down to the front and a metal line going to each side of the axle.
The vent hose angles off toward the back and up to the bed.
If the rubber is old and split perhaps you can cut it off and reuse whats left, if not just get a piece of fuel line and a hose clamp.
Blow some air through it and make sure it's clear....
