E040 Tailshaft removal

I need to remove the tailshaft in order to replace the gear that drives the speed sensor gear. Am I going to get into a hassle with parts falling out or all over the place when it comes off?

i dont think you need to take the drive shaft out, just remove your speed sensor and the speedo gear comes out with it.

E040 Tailshaft

The gear on the speed sensor isn't the one I'm talking about. Its the gear that one rides on. It is stripped. It is inside the tailshaft housing.
