I've recently bought an early 70's ( i think )F250 single cab truck. There's not a sticker on the door or a VIN tag in the glove box. Is there one stamped on the frame or engine block i could look for? I know my 1977 Bronco has it stamped on the frame, but it's a pain in the a** to reach.
yes, there is actually 2 places on the frame.
1. on the passenger frame rail. top side. just about even with the tire.
2. I believe on the passenger frame rail under the cab.
#1 is a lot easier to get to. of course if you try to do #2 you will have to take off the cab.
either one that you try to find you will most likely have to use a wirebrush to find the VIN since the truck is 30+ years old.
